We’re in private beta now and rolling out invites in waves. Join the early-access list on the home page and we’ll email your invite the day we hit the App Store.
Is Matchplay free?
The core experience — creating matches, scoring, standings, and basic side games — is free. We may add an optional Pro tier later for organizers who want advanced formats, reusable groups, and richer history. We’ll never charge every player just to keep score.
Does everyone in my group need the app?
No. The organizer can score everyone, and you can add guests by name without them installing anything. If a guest joins later, we can help link their past rounds to a new account.
Does Matchplay handle the money for bets?
No. Matchplay tracks results and shows a clean “who owes who” summary, but it never holds or moves money. You settle however your group likes — Venmo, cash, Zelle, or a handshake. See our Terms for details.
Which game formats are supported?
At launch: stroke play, match play, skins (with carryovers), closest-to-the-pin, and a flexible side-bet tracker. Wolf, Nassau, best ball, and a custom game builder are on the roadmap — tell us what you play and we’ll prioritize it.
Do I need a GHIN or official handicap?
Not for the basics. You can enter your handicap manually and Matchplay will use it for net scoring and games. GHIN sync is something we’re exploring for a future release.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account from in-app settings, or email privacy@matchplay.golf and we’ll take care of it. See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.
